In Rasuwa, within the Trishuli 3A hydropower project’s tunnel, hope has been reignited as search and rescue operations continue for the trapped workers. The rescue team, tirelessly dedicated to locating those trapped inside, has confirmed hearing the voices of live individuals from within the tunnel.
According to the security and technical teams on site, the voices of more than one person have been distinctly heard from inside the tunnel. The rescuers, providing reassurance from outside, have called out, “Don’t worry, we are rescuing you,” to which the trapped individuals have responded positively with “Okay.”
Following the receipt of human responses from inside, a combined team of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and technical experts have intensified and cautiously continued their rescue efforts. The rescue teams are working at full capacity to reopen the blocked tunnel entrance, ensure a steady supply of oxygen inside, and safely bring the trapped individuals out.
